Our accounting team is growing and looking to add a senior technical accounting and financial reporting accountant to our team. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting, the ideal candidate is a Big 4 senior looking for a transition into a cutting-edge industry. This is a hands-on role, with lots of great exposure and the potential for upward mobility! You will have the ability to help build out our financial reporting process and provide insights to our leaders.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the timely preparation and review of SEC compliant financial information
- Produce financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Assist in the preparation of certain monthly corporate accounting entries such as stock-based compensation and ASC 606
- Assist in evaluating accounting and financial reporting considerations for accounting topics including, but not limited to revenue, intangible assets, leasing, stock-based compensation, and business combinations
- Collaborate with key business partners across the business including Legal, Sales, Operations, and Engineering, to understand accounting implications of new agreements or transactions
- Draft technical accounting memorandums
- Develop and maintain key process narratives and internal controls matrix
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in public accounting working with SEC registered companies
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA, or working towards
- Knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements and regulations
- Knowledge of technical accounting concepts in the following areas: revenue recognition, leasing, and stock-based compensation
- Ability to research technical accounting matters and assist with the preparation of technical accounting memorandums and presentations
- Detail oriented, strong documentation and organization skills
- Experience with reviewing contracts and evaluating accounting implications
- Strong excel skills including complex formulas and macros
- Have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Desired Experience:
- Experience within manufacturing and/or aerospace industries
- Experience with government contracting
- IPO experience
Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $90,000 - $115,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The salary range for this role is intentionally wide as we are evaluating individuals based on their unique experience and abilities to fit our needs.
